Chemical (ammonia-hydrogen) and electrochemical (batteries) storage and power provision. RAL green energy demonstrator: technology integration and development.

Bill is Professor of Energy Materials Chemistry in the University of Oxford. He is an STFC Senior Fellow at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and a Fellow of the Royal Society. His work involves the research, development and demonstration of renewable and sustainable chemical and electrochemical energy storage systems and the provision of clean renewable power. He was the lead author of the recent Royal Society Report on "Ammonia: zero-carbon fertiliser, fuel and energy store" and advocates transitioning through the lowest disruption routes that build upon existing international infrastructures to realise a real-zero emissions future this side of 2050.
