I am interested in the future of energy systems. especially in Africa and South Asia.

Biography:

Malcolm is Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Oxford and leads the university’s Energy and Power Group. His earlier career was in ESCOM in South Africa. His current interests include energy systems in the developing world, expanding access to energy to poorer communities, and designing energy systems that are well matched to the needs of their potential users. Malcolm is also lead researcher on the Oxford Martin School ‘Integrate’ programme looking at the integration of high levels of intermittent renewable energy into national grids.
